Season review and New Season hopes

1st Season is over and we did it... we did a 46-0 season.

Towards the end the inactivity was a problem but still we managed to do it...

Thank you to all the players that composed the team and that worked hard to achieve this.



Now here comes new season on new division, we were promoted to Division 6, and now we face other human coaches, this means a lot more of work and special tweaks must be done... this also means inactivity cannot be tolerated, and also that i must set tactics a lot sooner....


Our goal will be to be able to promote to Divison 5, lets see how that goes...

We lost Przemo Big C... he felt he needed to retire and so he did, it was a great loss but i feel that Gatis can step up and show he is as good as Przemo has been for us...


Also we are on the lookout for a new PF to join Gatis and a SG to join Anthony.

Mercuriopitrongos Basket status

After 17 games we are now the only undefeated team, that was to be expected from the only human team in this division i must say, our goal remains the same tho do a 46-0 season.

In the mean time we reached the 2nd round in the Portuguese Cup where we were defeated by the team that is leading the Portuguese Premier, so that was to be expected. In the Moderators Cup we got out in the 1st round after losing losing the 1st leg game away despite winning at home the 2nd leg. Here the problem was that the 1st game was lost by too many points to recover.

We just got our roster reduced to 9 players, and we actively searching for a SG.

Other changes can happen due to the inactivity some team members have been displaying.

A new team is born. Mercuriopitrongos Basket in Portugal Division 7 started with a big dreams.

The idea is to go all the way to the top in Portugal.

Well we are back to victories hard fought game because of our bad 2nd half but we had done enough on the 1st half to get a win.

As for this game, Defensively 3 steals the most in the team and 6 rebounds not bad at all, no blocks but thats not where I usually get my stats going, so I'm pretty happy defensively despite those 2 fouls i had to commit

Now Offensively another bad game for me was blocked once the only time i went for it in the paint, from the outside shots all 3 missed, being one of them right at the end of a quarter so 2 real misses to be accurate, but its not enough, i did 3 assists and thats not bad but still it is not good enough for a 1st Division like Iberic Division

Very unhappy have to see what can i do to improve my stats because at this point i am not happy at all with my playing.

Valladolid Potenza

It was a hard loss tonight, a game where we came in front on the interval but where we lost the game at the end, I am pretty pleased with my contribution to the team, not one of the very best i ever but not way too bad.

Defensively was another history i got 3 steals which is uncommon must mean the other player was slower or a bad dribbler but on the other side only 5 rebounds, this time i did not dominate on that particular stat and that left me displeased i will have to work more on it, and to top it all not a single block.


Offensively well i did not miss much, .66 is not a bad average but i did not try a single 3pt and that may have done the difference between winning the game or not, a very bad feeling for one to have. Also no assists which says way too much about my offensive play tonight.


Well congratulations are in order to Valladolid Potenza maybe we will win next time around
